Harshana Abeyaratne

Harshana Abeyaratne has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. In 2022, they began working as an Independent Software Consultant for Ohmyhome | Buy. Sell. Rent. SG, MY, PH | One-Stop PropTech Solution. From 2019 to 2022, they worked as an Associate Technical Lead for Saltside, where they worked on the classified platform that powered the largest marketplaces in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Ghana. From 2015 to 2019, they worked at 99X Technology as a Senior Software Engineer, where they worked on TravelText Lite (Android/IOS). In this role, they were responsible for the architecture, development and deployment of TravelText Lite, which was built with React Native, Redux, Microsoft app center, and web api 2. Prior to this, they worked as a Software Engineer for UniEconomy Mobile (Android/IOS). Finally, they worked as a Software Engineer Intern for Maturify, a knowledge management platform for startups and mid size businesses. In this role, they did frontend development with Angular 1, SASS, HTML templating, layout designing with Adobe photoshop, and backend development with amazon web services.

Harshana Abeyaratne completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Software Engineering at Cardiff Metropolitan University between 2012 and 2015. Prior to that, they attended St. Sylvester's College, Kandy from 1997 to 2011, studying in the Science stream.
