Laurens Wijnker has a diverse range of work experience. Laurens began their career with Ohpen in 2011, where they worked in operations, serving retail investors by managing cash flows, providing customer service, and improving procedures. Laurens also had a role as an intern, supporting back-office and front-office activities by analyzing investment portfolios.

In 2012, Laurens interned at Rochdale housing corporation, where they conducted research and reported on the effectiveness of implementing new government legislation in the finance and control department.

Returning to Ohpen in 2013, Laurens worked as a product developer, and later became a product owner in 2017. In this role, they were responsible for analyzing and optimizing business processes, implementing new procedures, and managing a small team. Laurens was also involved in various projects such as SEPA, FATCA, ISAE, and the rebalance of the Ohpen Indexfunds.

Laurens Wijnker attended the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences from 2009 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Financial Services Management. In addition to their degree, Laurens obtained several certifications, including Scrum Product Owner from Scrum Alliance in July 2017, and TMap NEXT Test Engineer and TMap NEXT Test Manager from EXIN in March 2016.
