Otto Van Buuren

Otto Van Buuren's work experience includes various roles in different companies. Otto started their career as an Intern Scientific Staff at AFC Ajax in 2014. In 2015, they took a break from work to embark on a journey around the world. Later in 2015, they participated in a Business Intelligence Training Program at Otwee B.V. Otto then joined the Immigratie- en Naturalisatiedienst (IND) as a DataStage ETL and DWH-developer. In 2016, they worked as a Trainee Business Intelligence Consultant at KVL Inspiratie Technologie, where they focused on dimensional modeling, SQL, ETL, datawarehousing, data visualization, and data quality. At KVL Inspiratie Technologie, they also served as a Junior Business Intelligence Consultant.

In 2017, Otto Van Buuren joined Deloitte as a Consultant in the Data & Reporting Advisory department. Otto later became a Senior Consultant in the same department, specializing in data and reporting advisory. In 2020, they were promoted to the role of Junior Manager at Deloitte.

Their most recent position is at Ohpen, where they are currently working as a Lead Business Rules.

Otto Van Buuren's education history is as follows:

From 2018 to 2019, Otto attended Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) where they pursued a postgraduate degree in Business Analytics & Data Science.

In the years 2013 to 2014, Otto studied at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, earning a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Human movement sciences with a sports track specialization.

Between 2009 and 2013, Otto completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Human movement Sciences at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

Prior to their university studies, Otto attended Jac P Thijsse College from 2003 to 2009. Otto completed their VWO (pre-university education) with a focus on Natuur en Gezondheid (nature and health) subjects.

In addition to their formal education, Otto also obtained certifications in the field of data analytics. In October 2020, they became a DAMA DMBOK Associate through DAMA. In February 2020, Otto earned the Certified Analytics Professional certification from INFORMS.
