Denise Lillvis

Trauma Research Associate at John R. Oishei Children's Hospital

Denise (Finley) Lillvis serves as an Assistant Professor at the University at Buffalo's School of Public Health and Health Professions since July 2022, while also holding the position of Research Assistant Professor at the State University of New York at Buffalo's School of Medicine & Biomedical Sciences and as a Trauma Research Associate at John R. Oishei Children's Hospital since April 2020. Denise's previous experience includes a Research Assistant Professorship with the University at Buffalo from September 2017 to July 2022 and a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Michigan's Primary Care Research Institute from August 2010 to August 2017. Denise obtained a PhD in Health Services Organization and Policy and Political Science from the University of Michigan after earning an MA in Public Administration from the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in History, Political Science, and Pre-med from Swarthmore College. Additional roles include Executive Director and Associate Director at the National Bone Marrow Transplant Link, a Research Associate at TCC Group, and a Project Coordinator at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine.

John R. Oishei Children's Hospital

John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital is the regional center for comprehensive and state-of-the-art pediatric trauma, surgical and medical care, including neonatal, perinatal and obstetric services. Oishei Children’s Hospital is the only access point for pediatric critical care as the region’s only Level I Pediatric Trauma Center. It also serves as the only Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Western New York.
