Karen Thomas

Karen Thomas is an experienced finance professional with a diverse background in risk management and commercial lending. Currently serving as Risk Manager and Claims Examiner at Okaloosa County since May 2020, Karen has previously held the role of Public Records and Contract Specialist at the Okaloosa County Board of County Commissioners from November 2018 to May 2020. Prior to that, Karen worked as a Vice President and Commercial Lender at both Synovus Bank and Coastal Bank and Trust of Florida from September 2008 to May 2018. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Finance from UWF Lewis Bear Jr. College of Business, as well as Associate degrees in Science and Arts from Okaloosa Walton Community College.
