Melissa Herrin Ruisz

Melissa Herrin Ruisz is a dedicated professional with diverse experience in educational and correctional settings. Currently serving as a Civilian Corrections Technician at Okaloosa County since September 2022, responsibilities include clerical record-keeping and interdepartmental communication. Additionally, Melissa has been a substitute teacher at Liza Jackson Preparatory School since September 2021, covering various subjects for grades K-8. Prior experience includes working as a School Age Teacher/Administrative Assistant at Youth Village, providing educational support to children ages 4-13, and as a cashier at Publix Super Markets, where excellent customer service was prioritized. An internship with the Office of Equity and Diversity at the University of West Florida highlighted commitment to promoting equality and inclusion among students.
