David Houghton

David Houghton serves as the Chair and Dean of the Paul Dickinson School of Business at Oklahoma Baptist University since July 2010, focusing on bridging the gap between the business community and academia while developing new educational programs. Prior to this role, David Houghton was the Department Chair and Associate Professor of Marketing at Charleston Southern University from July 2008 to July 2010, contributing to faculty leadership and assessment initiatives, and founding the CSU SIFE team. Earlier experience includes a guest lecturer position at Kazak-American Free University from June 1999 to July 2008 and a tenure as Professor of Marketing and Department Chair at Northwest Nazarene University from August 1997 to July 2008, where efforts were made to expand MBA programs and develop online business courses. Education includes a PhD and MBA in Marketing from the University of Cincinnati Carl H. Lindner College of Business, and a BS in Accounting and Business Administration from The University of Kansas.
