Vanessa Wright

Vanessa Wright, Ph.D., MSN, RN, currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the University of Oklahoma and has been an Associate Professor of Nursing at Oklahoma City University since July 2020, where Vanessa also holds the positions of Chair of Graduate Education and MSN Coordinator. With prior experience as an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Oklahoma City University and as an Emergency Room Charge Nurse, Vanessa has contributed significantly to various academic and professional committees, particularly focusing on student retention and faculty development. Vanessa's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Registered Nursing from Oklahoma City University and ongoing post-doctorate studies at the Watson Caring Science Institute. Vanessa began her nursing career with roles at INTEGRIS Health and Westminster Nursing Home, transitioning from clinical practice into nursing education with a focus on both academic instruction and dedicated mentorship.
