Naiem Sheikh is an experienced research consultant currently working at the Centre for Environmental and Geographic Information Services (CEGIS) since October 2023. Naiem has also served as a graduate research assistant and research student at Jahangirnagar University since March 2016, where responsibilities included field surveying under the auspices of the university, CASE, and the Environmental Ministry of Bangladesh. Previous roles include research assistant at Research Society 20 from September 2020 to August 2023 and research officer at the Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies from September 2022 to February 2023. Additionally, Naiem held the position of president at Gopalganj District Students' Welfare Society from November 2021 to January 2023. Naiem earned a Master's degree in Geography and Environment from Jahangirnagar University in August 2023, having completed an Hons degree in the same field between 2017 and 2021.
