Lonnie Isabel is an experienced professional in journalism and education, currently serving as the Coordinator for the Tulsa Summer Program for High School Journalists and working as a Freelance Editor with New Narratives. In addition to tutoring reading and writing at Varsity Tutors, Lonnie Isabel volunteers as an Adviser to New York City High School newspapers at Baruch College and holds the positions of Vice Chairman and Board Member at Oklahoma Watch, a prominent investigative news organization. Lonnie Isabel has a diverse background, having worked as a Writer, Editor, Media Consultant, and Writing Coach at Isabel Productions. Previously, Lonnie Isabel contributed to journalism education as a DEI consultant and Senior Lecturer at Columbia University - Graduate School of Journalism, and as a Distinguished Lecturer at The City University of New York.
