Esmeralda Piza

Esmeralda Piza has a diverse work experience spanning from 2012 to 2022. Esmeralda started their career as an Operations Manager at a small business chain, where they worked from 2012 to 2016. In 2013, they also worked as a Student Teacher at Arizona State University, teaching a children's art workshop.

From 2013 to 2017, they worked at AvidBrain as an Academic Tutor & Recruiter, specializing in subjects like Spanish, Art History, Art Theory & Fine Arts, and English Literature.

Most recently, in 2022, Esmeralda started working at Okland Construction as a Senior Manager Talent Acquisition, involved in supervising the construction projects from start to finish and overseeing the recruitment process.

Throughout their career, Esmeralda has gained experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, and management roles in various industries, including construction, staffing, and education.

Esmeralda Piza completed their International Baccalaureate Diploma in Multi-/Interdisciplinary Studies, General from the International Baccalaureate program from 2007 to 2011. Esmeralda then pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Education at Arizona State University from 2011 to 2014. In 2015 to 2016, they furthered their education by obtaining a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration, Management and Operations from the University of Phoenix. Currently, Esmeralda is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at Grand Canyon University from 2021 to 2025.

Alongside their academic achievements, Esmeralda has obtained several certifications. In 2013, they received a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card from the Arizona Department of Public Safety. Additionally, in 2016, they obtained a Drug Screen Administration Certification from US DIAGNOSTICS, INC., and in 2017 completed the OSHA 30-Hr Outreach Training from the University of South Florida. In 2022, they acquired the certification in "Human Resources: Leadership and Strategic Impact" from LinkedIn, and in 2023, they completed the "Virtually recruiting students" course offered by Handshake. Esmeralda also holds certifications in various subjects related to recruiting, interviewing, supporting colleagues from underrepresented groups, uncovering unconscious bias, diversity recruiting, finding and retaining high potentials, interviewing techniques, and recruiting diverse talent as a hiring manager.
