Marc Fiammante is a PhD student at the Institut du Cerveau – Paris Brain Institute, focusing on the dynamics of epileptic networks and neuronal excitability since April 2022. Concurrently, Marc serves as a scientific advisor at OKTAL Synthetic Environment, contributing expertise in synthetic environments for artificial intelligence and machine learning, particularly in developing algorithms for detecting infant hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy in collaboration with the French Brain Institute. Prior to these roles, Marc had a distinguished career at IBM from November 1983 to October 2021, serving as a Fellow and Global CTO for Governments, where various public sector innovative projects were advised and delivered, specializing in artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and cloud solutions. Earlier experience includes positions as a distinguished engineer and architect, and roles at Total as an offshore drilling engineer from January 1981 to November 1983. Academic qualifications include ongoing doctoral studies at Sorbonne Université and an engineering degree from CentraleSupélec, along with rigorous preparatory and secondary education in mathematics and science.
