Matías Fernandez

Matías Fernandez is a software development engineer with over five years of experience in the industry. Matías currently works as the Director of Quality Engineering at Oktana.

Matías started their career at Velocity Partners where they worked as a Software Development Engineer in Test. Matías was responsible for designing, writing, and executing automated scripts using Selenium Webdriver, C#, and Protractor. Matías also wrote and executed manual test cases using exploratory, regression, and smoke testing methodologies.

In July 2015, Matías joined Building Engines, Inc. as a Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer. In this role, they provided QA advisory services to different teams, helped plan and apply best practices, and created automated tests using Robot Framework, Python, and Selenium Grid. Matías was also in charge of taking the decision to go or not go during releases.

Matías has been with Oktana since June 2020 and currently serves as the Director of Quality Engineering. In this role, they are responsible for leading the quality engineering team and ensuring that products meet customer expectations.
