John Zacharakis

John Zacharakis has diverse work experience in the technology industry spanning over several decades. John is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at OKTO since April 2018. Prior to this, they worked as a Technical Consultant and Advisor at OKTO from March 2018 to April 2018.

In 2017, John was self-employed and held the position of Chief Technical Advisor. John also worked as the Chief Technical Advisor at Vermantia in January 2018.

From November 2015 to December 2017, John served as the Technical Advisor to CEO at Intralot. Before that, they held various roles in Intralot including Group Director of Product Software Architecture & Development from May 2014 to November 2015, Director of Applications Development Department from November 2004 to May 2014, and Computer Applications Analyst & Designer from August 1996 to November 2004.

Their career began in 1990 at INTRASOFT, where they worked as a Senior Software Engineer from August 1990 to August 1996. Overall, John has extensive experience and expertise in technology leadership, consulting, and software engineering roles.

John Zacharakis obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology, where they studied from 1986 to 1988. Prior to this, they also pursued a Master's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, and Molecular Biology at the same institution from 1984 to 1988.
