Marios Philippou has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Marios started their career in 1994 at Nicosia Race Club, where they worked as an office clerk and gradually took on more responsibilities, eventually becoming the Clerk of the Course. Marios'sduties included race programming, handicapping, track management, and race day preparation. In 2016, they joined Pandora Bakeries as a Store Manager, overseeing the enforcement of company policy, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and managing financial aspects. Marios then moved on to Depaho Ltd in 2017, where they held the positions of AML Compliance Assistant and AML Admin Master - Team Leader. Marios'sresponsibilities included allocating daily tasks for new clients and due diligence matters, creating task schedules, and assisting the AMLCO with ongoing procedures. In 2021, Marios joined FF Simple and Smart Trades Investment Services Ltd as an AML Compliance Assistant. Currently, they are working as a Compliance and AML Associate at OKTO.
Marios Philippou completed their education at Dudley College from 1987 to 1989, where they obtained a High National Diploma in Business and Catering. Prior to that, they attended The Grammar School, Nicosia from 1982 to 1985, focusing on Economics, though they did not obtain a degree from that institution. Additionally, they obtained a certification as a Certified AML (Anti-Money Laundering) Compliance Officer from CySEC - Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission in October 2020.
