Abhishek Gupta

Abhishek Gupta has extensive work experience in the field of credit and counterparty risk management. Abhishek started their career as an Engineer Trainee at Voltas Limited, where they gained knowledge about the electrical aspects of EPC setups in high-rise buildings. Abhishek then worked as a Software Developer at Exeter Group, where they developed a dosage reminder mobile application for a US pharmaceutical company.

Abhishek then joined Siemens CT as a Summer Intern, where they conducted strategic analysis of the lighting industry in India and identified market potential for Siemens in various sectors. Abhishek received a Pre Placement Offer for their exemplary work during the internship.

Moving on, Abhishek joined ICICI Bank as a Risk Manager and specialized in analyzing global commodity traders and providing ratings for loans to corporates across industries. Abhishek also served as a Relationship Manager in the Financial Institutions Group, handling credit analysis for NBFCs and Indian mutual funds and insurance companies.

Afterward, Abhishek joined MUFG as a Vice President in Credit Risk Management, leading the portfolio analysis team within the Credit Planning department. Abhishek was responsible for analyzing the portfolio on various parameters, preparing stress test methodologies, and analyzing the results and their impact on the bank.

Currently, Abhishek is working at Olam, where they started as the General Manager of Credit & Counterparty Risk. In this role, they handle the counterparty and credit analysis for Olam's global list of suppliers and buyers, ensuring the implementation of mitigants to protect Olam's interests.

Throughout their career, Abhishek has demonstrated expertise in credit risk analysis, portfolio analysis, and relationship management in the finance and banking industry.

Abhishek Gupta has a diverse education history. Abhishek completed their Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics at the National Institute of Technology Karnataka from 2004 to 2008. Following this, they pursued an MBA in Finance at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, from 2009 to 2011. During the same period, they acquired a CFA - Level 2 certification, specializing in Finance and Capital Markets, from the CFA Institute. Additionally, they also obtained another MBA degree in Analytics and Finance from the Vinod Gupta School of Management, IIT Kharagpur, from 2009 to 2011.
