Julie Greene has extensive experience in sustainability and corporate responsibility in the agriculture industry. Julie currently holds the position of Chief Sustainability Officer at Olam Agri, where they focus on driving positive impacts for climate, nature, and livelihoods across agri-commodity supply chains. Prior to this, Julie was the VP of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability at Olam, where they established initiatives to improve the well-being of farmers, workers, and community members across different regions. Julie also served as the Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability Manager for the Africa region, implementing projects to uplift farmer livelihoods and protect natural resources. Before joining Olam, Julie worked at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH as a Project Coordinator and Employment Promotion Advisor, where they focused on community development in conflict-affected and displaced communities. Julie also worked as a Grants Manager at the International Rescue Committee, facilitating humanitarian relief and post-conflict development projects. Julie's early career includes experience as a Communications Assistant at the National Council for Science and the Environment, where they researched environmental policy developments in the U.S. Congress.

Julie Greene completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Environmental Studies from Dartmouth College from 1998 to 2002. Julie then pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Organizations at the University of Geneva from 2007 to 2008. Additionally, in 2008, they participated in an Exchange Programme in Agri-Business Management at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad.
