Nasir Yasin

Nasir Yasin is a graduate research student at Old Dominion University, specializing in Applied and Computational Mathematics with a focus on computational fluid dynamics. Currently, Yasin is developing parallel computing techniques for high-order numerical schemes related to the 3-D incompressible Navier-Stokes equations. As President of the Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics Chapter at Old Dominion University, Yasin promotes the field through various academic and community initiatives. Previous experience includes roles as a research assistant at Kyungpook National University and the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, as well as a graduate research student at COMSATS University Islamabad, where Yasin contributed to multiple research projects and authored articles related to a Master’s thesis in Computational and Applied Mathematics. Educational background includes a Master of Science in Computational and Applied Mathematics from COMSATS University Islamabad and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from International Islamic University, Islamabad.
