Derrick Kananura

Derrick Kananura is a seasoned professional in the insurance and banking sectors, currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at OLEA Insurance Solutions Africa since June 2023, where responsibilities include overseeing business operations, IT projects, contracts negotiations, and managing supplier relations. Previously, Derrick held the position of Head of Bancassurance at I&M Bank (Rwanda) Plc, leading the implementation of the Bancassurance system and developing Microinsurance products. Prior roles include Technical Director at OLEA Insurance Solutions Africa, Underwriting and Claims Manager at STAPLE BROKERAGE LTD, and Corporate Relations Manager at OLEA CUZO INSURANCE BROKERS RWANDA. Derrick is advancing education with a Master of Business Administration from Quantic School of Business and Technology, expected in March 2024.
