THE ROLE     

Olipop Contract Manufacturing Manager will be tasked with cultivating supplier relationships, coupled with a robust comprehension of the supply network throughout the Supply Chain. The role demands exceptional business negotiation and communication skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities, strategic leadership, a partnership-oriented approach, and a proven track record of deploying and executing new supply chain initiatives to facilitate the rapid expansion of the business. Reports to Olipop Director of Procurement and Co-manufacturing.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Develop robust, mutually beneficial partnerships with external partners by understanding capabilities and developing/executing benchmarks for quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Act as the primary channel of communication for the co-manufacturing network, taking ownership and accountability between the brand and third-party manufacturers, fostering transparency, nurturing mutual understanding, and proactively resolving open concerns.
  • Identify and execute a rolling 3-year plan that encompasses cost-effective co-manufacturing, warehousing, and assembly solutions to bolster innovation and address growth projections.
  • Execute, renew, and negotiate supply agreements, while maintaining key metrics in contract database.
  • Develop KPI metrics, establish methods for tracking and presenting them to internal team, and lead Quarterly Business Reviews with all manufacturing partners.
  • Develop annual Co-Manufacturing financial plan, including setting standards, monthly forecast updates, and identifying potential risks and opportunities. 
  • Evaluate external manufacturing capacity, capability, and economics as required, including capital, labor, and logistics requirements. 
  • Collaborate with ERP, EDI developers to streamline communication, enhance productivity, and foster holistic business optimization.
  • Partner with Quality team, attending third-party manufacturers qualifications and production trials, ensuring the product meets taste and quality standards, and is made to spec.
  • Collaborate with the Planning team to align production needs, and ensure production schedules are effectively communicated, displayed, and systematically executed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Supply Chain, QA, Contract Manufacturing.
  • Proven business, negotiation, and analytical/problem-solving skills; experience negotiating and developing and managing contracts and agreements.
  • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and contract management.
  • Experience working with NetSuite and / or Oracle ERP a strong plus
  • Strong understanding of production standards manual, bill of materials, etc.
  • Broad knowledge base in ingredients, quality, packaging, manufacturing, shipping, regulatory, etc.
  • Solution-oriented problem solver and possesses a growth mindset.
  • Ability to handle complex situations involving multiple SKU’s, channels, and distribution models.
  • Transparent, open/honest communicator and strong relationship building and management skills.
  • Ability to be a collaborative leader and team member in a dynamic high growth environment. 
  • Ability to resolve, recommend, and strategically influence conflicting interests and priorities from different functions.
  • Experience working in a startup, high growth environment is also a plus.
  • Experience working successfully with remote teams in multiple states.
  • This position is fully remote. 50% travel to co-packers as required.

COMPENSATION:

$120,000-$130,000 base salary + bonus
