Santiago Toro Zuluaga

Santiago Toro Zuluaga has a diverse work experience in the field of data science. In 2018, they started working at MAS Global Consulting as a Junior Machine Learning Developer, where they analyzed human resource data and applied machine learning techniques to improve internal processes. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as a Junior Data Scientist at the same company, focusing on analysis, visualization, and data exploration for the HR team. During this time, they also created and structured internal data collection surveys. In 2021, they were promoted to Mid Senior Data Scientist, where they worked with a Fortune 500 client in the United States. In this role, they were responsible for creating reports and solutions for managers, conducting cost structure analysis, and developing reports for different areas of the company using tools like Power BI. Santiago connected to various data sources such as SQL Server, Salesforce, Azure DevOps, and Application Insights. Santiago maintained and created more than 45 reports in 2 different workspaces. In 2023, Santiago will start a new role as a Data Scientist at olive.com.

Santiago Toro Zuluaga attended the Universidad Nacional de Colombia from 2015 to 2019, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Statistics. Prior to that, they attended the Universidad de Antioquia from 2013 to 2016, pursuing a degree in Public Accounting, which they suspended.

In addition to their formal education, Santiago has pursued further certifications. In January 2023, they completed the "Python 101 for Data Science" course offered by IBM through Cognitive Class. In November 2020, they obtained the "Scrum Foundation Professional Certificate (SFPC)" from CertiProf. In April 2020, they completed the "Power BI Desktop - Última versión de Power BI" course on Udemy. Santiago also completed the "Python Programming Track" on DataCamp in April 2020.
