Vinny Hughes

Vinny Hughes has a strong background in recruitment and consulting. Vinny started their career at Commissioning Lab as a Junior Consultant from December 2011 to July 2012. Vinny then joined UKFast as a Business Liaison from October 2012 to January 2013, where they focused on generating new business leads and building client relationships. Vinny then moved on to Michael Page as a Consultant from February 2013 to May 2014, specializing in recruiting middle to senior management positions in various industries such as General Manufacturing, Aerospace, and Automotive. Vinny joined Oliver James Associates in September 2014 as a Senior Associate in the Life, Health & Pensions Actuarial division. In June 2017, they were promoted to Associate Vice President, responsible for actuarial recruitment in the Americas region. From January 2019 to June 2020, Vinny held the role of Associate Director - Risk at Oliver James Associates. Currently, they are the Vice President, Actuarial Permanent Division North America (Bermuda market specialist) at Oliver James Associates, overseeing the Permanent actuarial function in North America, with a specialization in the Bermuda actuarial and risk space, particularly within the reinsurance market.

Vinny Hughes attended Mold Alun from 1999 to 2006 but did not earn a degree. Vinny then pursued a degree in Events Management at The Manchester Metropolitan University from 2007 to 2010. Later, from 2010 to 2012, Vinny completed a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services at The Manchester Metropolitan University.
