Michael Petric

Michael Petric serves as Principal and Head of the Ottawa Office at Oliver Wyman since November 2022. Prior experience includes positions as Senior Director and Head of the Ottawa Office at Avascent from October 2015 to November 2022, and Commissioned Officer in the Canadian Armed Forces (Primary Reserve) from May 2006 to December 2017. Michael worked as a National Security Fellow at Human Rights First and participated in the Next Generation Leaders Program at The McCain Institute for International Leadership from September 2014 to September 2015. Other roles include Senior Policy Advisor in the Office of the Minister of National Defence, focusing on risk assessment and mitigation strategies, and Training Advisor to the Afghan National Army, where Michael developed performance metrics and organizational structures. Academic credentials consist of an MBA from IE Business School, a Master of Arts in International Affairs from Carleton University, and a Joint Honours Bachelor of Social Sciences from the University of Ottawa.
