Isabel Macía is the VP of Engineering at OLX Brasil. Isabel has over 20 years of experience in product and technology leadership roles. Isabel has a passion for building scalable and reliable systems and ensuring customer success.

Isabel started their career as a Technical Operations Leader at GE Global Research. Isabel then transitioned to Thomson Reuters, where they spent three years in various product and architecture roles, including Proposition & Product Managing Director, Product Quality and Governance Director - Legal LatAm, and Product Ecosystem Architecture Director - Legal LatAm. In November 2020, they joined OLX Brasil as the Director of Technology, and was promoted to VP of Engineering in August 2021.

At OLX Brasil, Isabel leads the Cross-Engineering organization responsible for system reliability, scalability, cloud efficiency and governance, security, mobile platforms, big data stack including tools/products ecosystem, governance and cross-company business metrics. Isabel also oversees development teams responsible for products monetization and customer journey success.

Isabel Macía has an MBA in Business Technology from the Pontifical Catholic University. Isabel also has a MDC Management Development Course from GE Crotonville and an LDC Leadership Development Course from GE Crotonville. Isabel has a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from Pontificia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro and a Master's in Computer Science from Pontificia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro. Isabel also has a Bachelor's in Computer Science from the University of Havana.

Isabel Macía reports to Raúl Rentería, CTO. Isabel Macía works with Marcelo Wendling - VP, Engineering, Eduardo Maçan - Director of Engineering.
