Akihiro Taguchi

Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer at Olympus

Akihiro Taguchi is currently an executive officer and chief technology officer at Olympus. Prior to this, they were a consultant at Nomura Research Institute from April 2011 to April 2015. There, they were part of the R&D team and collaborated with the system solution division to develop e-commerce package evaluation standards. In 2013, they joined the automotive component manufacturing industry as a member of the PMO in developing renewal financial/accounting system (using SAP) to apply IFRS and standardizing accounting business processes to all subsidiaries in the world. Akihiro was also part of the team that deployed the system to 2 sites in India (onsite deployment team PMO in 2nd site) and supported the deployment to Indonesia simultaneously. In 2012, they joined the cosmetic industry as a member of the PMO in developing a renewal shop front and in office communicating system using tablet PCs. Akihiro also supported clients in restructuring operating processes in EC sites and visualizing present operations and automated operations. In 2011, they joined the airline industry as a member of the DMO in renewal whole IT system project. There, they were responsible for visualizing present state.

Akihiro Taguchi has a Master of Engineering from Keio University in Systems Engineering, as well as a Certification of Risk Engineering from Institut national des Sciences appliquées de Toulouse / INSA Toulouse. Akihiro also has a Bachelor of Science from Keio University in Physiology.

Akihiro Taguchi reports to Yasuo Takeuchi, President and CEO. Akihiro Taguchi works with Nacho Abia - COO, Shigeto Ohtsuki - Human Resources Head, and Wenlei Yang - Regional Representative Officer, China.
