Ilene Zhang

Ilene Zhang has an extensive work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Ilene is currently serving as the Medical Affairs Head APAC at OM Pharma since April 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Medical Affairs Director China at LifeScan from August 2022 to December 2022.

From 2018 to 2022, Ilene held various positions at AstraZeneca, including MA Lead, Associate Medical Director from March 2021 to August 2022, and Senior Manager, Medical Compliance from November 2018 to March 2021.

Before joining AstraZeneca, they worked at Sanofi as a Senior Medical Manager from October 2014 to November 2018. In this role, they were responsible for establishing and executing medical plans, launching new products, leading a team, and providing medical input to pipeline products in the nephrology & hypertension therapeutic area.

Earlier in their career, Ilene worked as a Medical Affairs Manager at both AbbVie from June 2013 to October 2014 and Abbott Laboratories from April 2012 to May 2013. Ilene also held the positions of Senior Medical Advisor and Medical Advisor at Abbott Laboratories from April 2011 to April 2012 and March 2009 to April 2011, respectively. In these roles, they were involved in various activities such as designing registration studies, post-marketing studies, and collaborating with brand teams in the anesthesiology & urology therapeutic area.

Ilene's career began at Shanghai First People's Hospital, where they served as an Attending Anesthesiologist from January 2003 to February 2009 and as a Resident Anesthesiologist from July 2000 to December 2002.

Ilene Zhang completed their education at the Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University, where they obtained a Master's degree in Clinical Medicine from 1993 to 2000. Prior to that, they attended Shanghai High School from 1987 to 1993, but did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study during this period.
