Kirk Estee

Kirk Estee is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in the energy sector, currently serving as the Customer Alternative Energy Solutions Manager at Omaha Public Power District since January 2001. Estee has also held roles such as Manager of the Center of Excellence, where sponsorship of lean initiatives and the promotion of a lean culture in production operations are key responsibilities. Prior to OPPD, Estee worked at Valmont Industries from October 1996 to January 2001, holding positions including Operations Superintendent at North Omaha Power Station and Energy Management Engineer, as well as Design Engineer, focusing on irrigation and chemical application equipment for the agriculture industry. Estee holds an MBA from Creighton University and Bachelor's degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
