David Theobald is a seasoned energy trading professional with extensive experience in the electricity market. Currently serving as Senior Term Trader at Omaha Public Power District since June 2011, David is responsible for executing forward physical and financial transactions to hedge the generation portfolio. Prior roles include Senior Asset Optimizer and Real Time Energy Marketer at OPPD, where responsibilities encompassed asset management, day-ahead marketing, and intraday optimization. Earlier in David's career, positions at Endure Energy, LLC and Rainbow Energy Marketing involved managing market portfolios, trading power, and collaborating to enhance trading desk performance. David began his career at Aquila, accumulating expertise in trading across various North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) regions and supporting natural gas operations.
