Austin Ruff currently serves as the Associate Principal Horn for the Omaha Symphony since May 2022 and has been a Substitute/Extra Musician with the New World Symphony and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra since August 2021 and December 2019, respectively. Additionally, Austin holds the position of Rotating Principal/Section Horn for the National Repertory Orchestra, contributing to performances and community engagement initiatives since June 2021. Austin's earlier experience includes working in Dining Services at Erickson Living in 2016. Academically, Austin holds a Master of Music in Horn Performance from Northwestern University (2021-2023) and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Horn Performance and Mathematics from Southern Methodist University (2017-2021).
