Amir Feizi

Director of Bioinformatics at OMass Technologies

Amir Feizi has worked in the bioinformatics field since 2007. Amir began their career as a Research Assistant at the National Institue of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (NIGEB) where they performed evolutionary analyses of acid phosphatase gene family. Amir then completed an Internship at Intelligent Bioinformatics Lab, where they worked on genetic regulatory networks (GRN) reconstruction, functional pattern discovering, expression profile clustering, and pattern extraction using hybrid algorithms. In 2010, they became a PhD student and Postdoctoral Researcher at Chalmers University of Technology. Amir also held a Visiting PhD position at University of California San Diego in 2014. In 2017, they worked as a Bioinformatics Scientist at Sahlgrenska University Hospital and a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at Novo Nordisk. Amir currently serves as the Director of Bioinformatics at OMass Therapeutics.

Amir Feizi obtained a Bsc in Cellular & Molecular Biology from Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz (Jundi Shapur) between 2000 and 2003. Amir then went on to earn an Msc in Bioinformatics from Chalmers University of Technology between 2009 and 2011, followed by a PhD in Systems Biology from the same university between 2011 and 2016.
