Shahid Rehan, Ph.D. has a wealth of experience in the field of molecular biology. Shahid began their career in 2006 as a Research Associate at Quaid-e-Azam University in Islamabad. In 2008, they moved to Gentex Lab as a Molecular Biologist. From 2009 to 2011, they worked as a Research Associate at the Bioprocess Engineering Laboratory at the University of Oulu. During this time, they were responsible for mutagenic library creation, library screening, and protein expression and characterization. In 2011, they began their PhD studies at the University of Oulu, focusing on the biochemical, biophysical and structural characterization of human nucleoside transporters. In 2017, they moved to Finland to become a Postdoctoral Fellow in CryoEM at the University of Helsinki. In 2018, they began working as a CryoEM Consultant at Kezar Life Sciences, where they were responsible for single particle cryoEM analysis of Sec61 translocon with small molecule modulators. Currently, they are a Senior Scientist at OMass Therapeutics.

Shahid Rehan, Ph.D. obtained their Ph.D. from the University of Oulu in 2016, with a focus in Biochemistry/ Membrane Protein Structural Biology. Shahid also earned a M.Sc. and M.Phil from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad in 2008, with a focus in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
