Faryar Shirzad

Faryar Shirzad serves as the Chief Policy Officer at Coinbase since June 2021 and has been a Board Member at Omaze since May 2025. Prior to these roles, Faryar held significant positions at Goldman Sachs as Global co-head of Government Affairs from August 2006 to June 2021 and served in the National Security Council at The White House as Deputy National Security Advisor for International Economic Affairs from March 2003 to August 2006. Experience also includes roles at the United States Department of Commerce, United States Senate Committee on Finance, and various law firms. Faryar holds a Master of Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School, a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Maryland, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law.
