Dongjiang Xu

Dongjiang Xu has a wealth of experience in software engineering, computer vision, and medical imaging. Theirmost recent role is as a Sr Staff Engineer at Omega Medical Imaging LLC, a position they have held since 2020. Prior to this, they were a Lead Computer Vision Engineer at Vtrus Inc from 2018 to 2020, where they developed a multi-camera SLAM system for autonomous indoor robots and a multi-camera calibration system. From 2017 to 2018, they were a Computer Vision Engineer at Verizon Labs (Insight Global), where they developed and launched planar tracking apps for Android/iOS platforms and a monocular SLAM system for Android/iOS platforms. From 2013 to 2017, they were a Computer Vision Engineer at Magic Leap, Inc., where they worked on planar picture tracking algorithms, SLAM algorithms, wand tracking (depth sensors), and the SLAM's Relocalization evaluation framework using Python. From 2013 to 2014, they were a Sr. Software Engineer at QuadTech, where they integrated an inkjet web press real-time inspection system and was responsible for all aspects of software development. From 2008 to 2013, they were an Analytical Imaging Software Developer at Roche NimbleGen, Inc., where they worked on all aspects of software development, including research, design, implementation, test, documentation, and 2nd tier support. From 2007 to 2008, they were a Sr. Software Engineer at Controlled Semiconductor, where they worked on a Failure Analysis Tool for IC packages and a Photomask Repair Tool. From 2005 to 2007, they were a Software Engineer at nScrypt, Inc., where they developed and implemented vision algorithms for industrial 3D micro-dispensing applications, a rare event (cancer cell) detection software tool in C#, and medical image processing segmentation algorithms for an automatic white blood cell counting system.

Dongjiang Xu obtained their PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Central Florida in 2004. Prior to that, they obtained their Master's degree in Automatic Control theory and its Applications from Tsinghua University in 1998.
