Shilpa Chatlani

Shilpa Chatlani, PhD has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Shilpa began their career at Merrill Lynch as a Systems Analyst, Jr. Programmer, and Technical Writer. Shilpa then pursued their academic interests, completing their Ph.D. in Doctoral Research focused on the peripheral vestibular system at the University of Chicago. Following this, they conducted Postdoctoral Research at Johns Hopkins, specializing in hearing physiology and genetic modification in mice models.

Returning to industry, Chatlani worked at Mudskipper Incorporated as a Medical Writer, before joining Baxalta (now part of Shire) in Global Medical Communications. Subsequently, they transitioned to Shire directly as an Associate Director in US Medical Affairs for Hematology & Blood Disorders.
