Geert Akkermans

Geert Akkermans is a Consultant in Ecology at Omgevingsdienst Rivierenland since September 2018, with a concurrent role as a Volunteer for Bat030, a study group for bat research in Utrecht. Previously, Geert served as a Trainer/Coach and Administrative Assistant at Belastingdienst Toeslagen from July 2014 to August 2018, focusing on ICT system training and the management of irregularities in the Dutch benefits system. Prior to that, Geert was a Bar Manager at Sodexo and gained research experience through various internships in marine and microbial ecology while studying at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and Centro de Ciências do Mar. Geert holds a Master of Science in Ecology from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Utrecht University.
