Annie Maxwell

Annie Maxwell has a diverse and impressive work history. Annie started their career at Direct Relief in 2002, serving as Chief of Staff until 2005. Annie then joined the United Nations as a Partnerships Officer in the Office of the Special Envoy for Tsunami Recovery. In 2006, Annie returned to Direct Relief as Chief Operating Officer, a role they held until 2009. Annie then became a White House Fellow at the Office of the Vice President of the United States, where they worked until 2010. Annie then joined the Skoll Global Threats Fund, first as Chief Operating Officer and later as President, until 2018. Annie then joined DataKind for a brief period as a Consultant before becoming the Executive Vice President at Omidyar Network in 2019.

Annie Maxwell completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Political Science from the University of Michigan from 1997 to 2000. Annie then pursued their Masters degree in Public Policy from the same university from 2000 to 2002.
