William Patrick

William Patrick has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of character art and design. William most recently served as the Character Art Director at Omni Creator Products beginning in June 2022. Prior to this, William worked as an Advisor at DigiPen Institute of Technology, where they provided lectures, workshops, and tutored students in various areas of character creation. William also acted as a liaison between students and teachers to improve the program.

From 2018 to 2022, William held multiple roles at ProbablyMonsters. William started as the Lead Character Artist, responsible for all 3D assets in demos and games, and later became the Art Director, contributing to game direction, design, production, and org structures.

Before that, William was the Lead Creature Artist at ArenaNet LLC from 2015 to 2018, where they led a group of artists on Guild Wars 2. William also worked as a Senior Creature Artist, creating creatures based on concepts.

From 2011 to 2015, William worked at Bungie as a Character Artist, leading a team in defining the look of heads for different races in the game Destiny. William also created the majority of heads in the game.

Prior to that, at WBGames from 2009 to 2011, William served as a Character Artist and contributed to character creation, tool development, concept art, and shader prototyping.

In 2008, William started their career as a Character Artist at ACES Studio (through Filter, Inc), producing background characters for TrainSim 2 and expanding character variations within technical boundaries.

Throughout their career, William Patrick has demonstrated their expertise in character art and design, leading teams, contributing to game development, and creating visually appealing and technically sound assets.

William Patrick pursued their education by first attending Eastern Washington University from 2001 to 2003. During their time there, they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in studio art. Following this, they enrolled at the DigiPen Institute of Technology, where they obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in production animation from 2004 to 2008, specializing in animation and computer graphics.
