Douglas Krafte

Douglas Krafte has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Douglas currently holds the position of Senior Vice President at OmniAb, Inc. since November 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Site Head and General Manager at Icagen LLC - A Ligand Company starting from April 2020. From July 2015 to April 2020, they worked at Icagen in the role of CSO. Before Icagen, they held the position of Executive Director at Neusentis/Pfizer from November 2011 to June 2015. Douglas also worked at Icagen Inc in various capacities, including Chief Scientific Officer, VP Biology & Scientific Affairs, VP Biology, and Director - Biology, from 1999 to 2011. Earlier in their career, they served as a Group Leader at Aurora Biosciences Corporation from 1997 to 1999 and as a Sr. Scientist to Sr. Principal Investigator at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals from 1994 to 1997. Prior to that, they worked as a Scientist to Prin. Res. Investigator at Sterling Winthrop Pharmaceuticals from 1989 to 1994. Douglas started their career as a Research Fellow at the California Institute of Technology from 1986 to 1989.

Douglas Krafte completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Molecular Biology at Vanderbilt University from 1977 to 1981. Douglas then pursued further education and obtained a Ph.D. in Physiology from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, graduating between 1981 and 1986.
