Desmond Cheung

Desmond Cheung has a diverse and extensive work experience in the technology and engineering industry. Desmond started their career at Broadcom as a Firmware Developer Co-op in 2001. Desmond then moved on to ESS Technology, where they worked as a Mixed-Signal Physical Design Layout Engineer from 2005 to 2007. Following that, Desmond joined Himax Imaging, Inc. as a Technical Manager in the Advanced R&D Center, specializing in pixel layout design, optical simulation, and foundry process understanding. Desmond worked at Himax Imaging for a remarkable duration of 14 years, from 2007 to 2021. In 2021, Desmond took on the role of Principal Optical Engineer at GOODIX Technology INC. and subsequently joined OmniVision Technologies, Inc. in the same position.

Desmond Cheung holds a Master of Applied Science degree in Engineering Science from Simon Fraser University. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree from the same university, majoring in Computer Engineering with a minor in Computing Science.
