Joshua Berrios has over 18 years of professional experience in the IT field. Berrios, began their career in 1995 as a Network Administration and Direct Support Operator at the Naval Security Group Activity in Yokosuka, Japan. In 1996, they became a Comm Ctr Supervisior and Direct Support Operator for the US Navy, where they managed day to day operations of a 24 hour Help-desk and NOC in support of over 200 worldwide military/government communications circuits. In 2002, they were promoted to Network Operations Center Manager for the US Navy, Office of Naval Intelligence, Washington D.C., where they supervised and evaluated diverse teams made up of both military and civilian personnel. In 2003, they took a position as a Network Modernization Network Engineer at NCI Information Systems, Inc. and in 2006 they became a Systems Administrator/Engineer at SAIC. In 2010, they joined Asymmetrik as a System Adminstrator/Engineer and Information Technology Manager, where they were responsible for administering and maintaining a mixed operating system development environment and IT equipment and deployment for the company office. In 2019, they joined Omnyon as a System Engineer working on a large IT services contract for the DoD. In 2021, they moved to Kepora as a System Engineer and in 2022 they returned to Omnyon as an Infrastructure System Engineer.

Joshua Berrios obtained their Bachelor's of Science in General Information Technology from Capella University between 2010 and 2015. Berrios, also obtained a Certification in Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from ISC2 CISSP and a CISSP in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from University of Fairfax in 2014. Additionally, they obtained a journeyman electronics technician from Kaynor R.V.T.S. between 1990 and 1994. Berrios also holds certifications from Apple, CompTIA, (ISC)2 Northern Virginia Chapter, Brocade, and Network+. These certifications include Apple Certified Support Professional Mac OSX 10.5 (obtained in October 2016), A+ (obtained in October 2014), Certified Information Systems Security Professional CISSP (obtained in July 2014), Security+ (obtained in December 2011), Brocade Certified Network Engineer (obtained in September 2010), and Network+ (obtained in November 2005).
