Hussain Etemadi

Hussain Etemadi has a diverse range of work experience in various environmental and research roles. Hussain is currently the General Manager & CEO at Omran Geotechnical Company (OGC) since September 2020. Prior to this, they worked as an Environmental Manager & Business Developer at Green Tech Company starting January 2019. From November 2018, they served as the R&D Director at Omran holding group (OHG). Hussain also worked as a Researcher & PhD Student at Eawag/Sandec-HCU from January 2014 until October 2018. Hussain gained experience as an Environmental Expert with German NGO, BORDA from October 2016 to May 2017, and with WSIP-GIZ from May 2016 to June 2016. In addition, they served as the Director of Water supply, Sanitation and Environment at the Ministry of Urbane Development and Housing (MUDH) from December 2010 to December 2013. Hussain was also a Member of the Afghanistan Environmental Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) Board of Experts at the National Environment Protection Agency (NEPA) from December 2010 to December 2013. Before that, they worked as a Sustainable Development Program Officer at United Nation Environment Programme (UNEP) from March 2009 to December 2010.

From 2014 to 2019, Hussain Etemadi pursued a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Environmental Engineering Technology/Environmental Technology at HafenCity Universität Hamburg (HCU).
