Lars Banke

Lars Banke is an experienced professional in the offshore oil and gas industry, currently serving as Deputy Project Director and Facilities Project Director for the Neptun Deep Development at OMV Petrom since March 2022. With a diverse career, Lars has held prominent positions including Chief Executive Officer at Maersk Decom, where expertise in integrated decommissioning solutions was established, and Project Delivery Manager at Maersk Oil, successfully overseeing the Culzean offshore field development. Lars also contributed to various roles at Maersk Contractors and Egyptian Drilling Company, focusing on engineering, maintenance, and project management across multiple international locations. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Offshore Engineering and an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from DTU, complemented by studies at Columbia University and IESE Business School.
