Phillip Solomon

Phillip Solomon is currently a Talent Associate at On Deck. Phillip was previously employed as an English Teacher at BRIDGEWATER-RARITAN REGIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT from February 2011 to August 2022. There, they were chosen as the faculty advisor for the Drama Club, School Newspaper, Cheerleading Squad, student weight room, and “Free to Be Me”, an organization based on student inclusion and diversity nationally recognized by the No Place For Hate bullying initiative. Phillip also prepared and implemented lessons in both literature and reading/writing workshops in accordance with the district curriculum as well as the New Jersey Core Content Curriculum Standards. In addition, they fostered and cultivated open-communication with parents via a weekly newsletter, informing them of current units, activities, and assignments. Lastly, they utilized differentiation techniques to create modified assignments based on Individual Educational Plans, 504 Plans, and multiple intelligences to achieve a 96% improvement rate on standardized tests among Special Education students. Prior to their work at BRIDGEWATER-RARITAN REGIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT, Phillip worked as a Visual Manager at Abercrombie & Fitch Co. from June 2004 to June 2010.

Phillip Solomon has a Master of Arts in Secondary Education and Teaching from Caldwell University, and a Master of Arts in Public Relations/Image Management from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Phillip also has certification from the NJ Department of Education, Office of Fiscal Accountabilty and Compliance in Teacher Of English, and certification from Schwinn Fitness in Group Fitness Instructor (GEI).
