Program Manager, Startups at On Deck

Sara Hennings is currently the Program Manager of Startups at On Deck. Prior to that, they worked as a Program Manager at Remote Year from July 2017 to March 2020. During their time at Remote Year, they supervised 3-7 reports and 90-200 clients across multiple time zones each month.

Sara was focused on developing relationships with each report, as well as customers to support and advocate for them. Sara facilitated the on the ground launch of Remote Year’s newest pilot program, a one month fully immersive community experience in Cape Town, South Africa; responsible for structural organization, communication, and customer experience. In addition, they performed an operation audit and implemented improvements with the EMEA Regional Director and operations team to achieve region with highest grossing profit.

Sara also analyzed monthly feedback to identify key consumer insights and executed positive changes to the customer experience. Sara overhauled the hiring and onboarding process for Program Leaders which included implementing a new training method via Trello. Furthermore, they oversaw the operations of RY customer networks globally while maintaining an NPS average of 46%+ (goal: >45%) per community by applying strategic changes. Lastly, they developed customer facing emergency protocols involving sensitive situations relating to mental health, drug/alcohol abuse, and conduct violations.

Sara Hennings received a marketing BS from Clemson University, with a management minor. Sara also attended Lorenzo de Medici and Notre Dame Preparatory High School.
