Márton Sebestyén

Robotics Engineer at OnRobot

Márton Sebestyén started their career as a Robot Programmer at ENGINEERINSTRUMENTS Kft. in February 2018. Márton programmed ABB, FANUC, and Comau robots both online and offline in the automotive sector. Márton also developed and modified robot programs for various applications such as pick & place, waterjet cutting, sanding, and injection molding. During this role, they gained experience in communication protocols and became familiar with industrial machine vision and sensor systems.

In January 2020, Márton joined OnRobot A/S as a Robotics Engineer. Their responsibilities included developing drivers for ABB and FANUC robots for the OnRobot D:PLOY system, a robot independent platform for creating different applications. Márton also prototyped and implemented user interfaces for gripper plugins using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Additionally, they integrated and validated various application setups such as screwdriving, vision, sanding, monitoring, palletizing, packaging, and CNC machine tending.

Márton Sebestyén pursued their education in the field of Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering. Márton first obtained their Bachelor's degree from Széchenyi István Egyetem between 2014 and 2018. Márton continued to further enhance their knowledge and completed their Master's degree in the same discipline at the same institution from 2018 to 2021. In addition to their formal education, Márton attained a certification in C++ for Programmers Course from Codecademy in January 2023.
