Jean-Philippe Romain

Jean-Philippe Romain has a diverse work experience in the field of material science and innovation. Jean-philippe is currently working as the Head of Material Science Innovation at On since March 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Material Innovation Lead Footwear at On from September 2019 to February 2022.

Before joining On, Jean-Philippe worked at Salomon as a Footwear Material Developer - Polymer Specialist from June 2016 to September 2019. During their tenure, they developed various foam materials and polymers for footwear brands under Amersports, such as Salomon, Mavic, Arcteryx, and Wilson. Jean-philippe also managed the validation and mass production of these innovative materials.

Jean-Philippe's previous experience includes working as a Plastic Technologies Teacher at Cégep de Thetford from August 2015 to January 2016. Jean-philippe taught courses on polymer processing and mechanical behavior, as well as introduction to rubber.

Prior to that, they obtained a BTS degree in Europlastic from Lycée Fernand Leger Audincourt in 2006-2008. Jean-philippe also holds additional certifications in Initiating and Planning Projects from Coursera Course Certificates and a 6 Sigma Green Belt from Tecform, obtained in 2016 and 2014 respectively.
