Will Barden

Will Barden has worked in various roles and companies over the years. Will started their career as a Software Engineer in 2007 and worked in various companies until 2013. In 2013, they joined the BBC as an Engineering Lead and later transitioned into a Product Manager role, where they managed two products and implemented new content formats and UX improvements. In 2016, they joined LADbible Group as a Product Manager, leading innovation and launching a video sharing app and a Facebook bot. Will then moved on to Booking.com, where they held roles such as Product Owner and Product Group Lead. During their time at Booking.com, they achieved significant results, including a 100% increase in conversion for the main sales funnel and a 40% reduction in customer contact. In 2021, Will joined FutureLearn as a Group Product Manager and later became the Product Director, responsible for leading product teams and launching new subscription products. Currently, Will is working as the Head of Product at On the Beach.

Will Barden has pursued a Master's degree in Advanced Computer Science from The University of Manchester. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Internet Computing from the University of Liverpool. Additionally, they have obtained certifications as a Certified Scrum Master from Scrum Alliance and as a Professional Scrum Product Owner from Scrum.org.
