Norbert Waschbuesch

Engineering Manager, Media Streaming at ON24

Norbert Waschbuesch has a strong background in software engineering and has held various roles in multiple companies throughout their career. Norbert began as a Software Engineer at Applied Materials in 1998 and then moved on to become a Senior Software Engineer at Philips Semiconductors from 2000 to 2004. Norbert joined OpenTV in 2004 as a Principal Software Engineer, where they focused on designing and implementing new features for their Middleware Product. In 2010, they joined NAGRA as a Principal Software Engineer and was part of a high-powered team that bootstrapped a Linux-based Middleware from scratch. Norbert stayed with NAGRA until 2017 and transitioned the team to an agile process. From 2018 to 2020, Norbert worked at MobiTV as a Senior Lead Software Engineer. Norbert was responsible for the architecture, design, and implementation of server-side media components for HLS and DASH streaming. Currently, Norbert is an Engineering Manager at ON24, overseeing media streaming.

Norbert Waschbuesch has pursued their education in the field of Computer Science at the Berlin University of Applied Sciences Berlin (BHT). Additionally, they have also studied Electrical Engineering at the Rheinische Fachhochschule Köln.
