Gwera Kiwana

Gwera Kiwana is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the blockchain and fintech sectors. Currently serving as the VP of Blockchain at Onafriq and co-founder of Women Who Build Africa, Kiwana focuses on developing scalable web3 solutions to foster economic growth in Africa. As an Investment Committee Member at Launch Africa Ventures and co-host of the Crypto @ Scale Podcast, Kiwana actively engages in discussions around cryptocurrency's impact on the continent. Previously, Kiwana held diverse roles in product design and advising at 11:FS, co-founded HyperAfrica to facilitate digital cross-border payments, and gained experience at Monzo Bank and TinEye. Kiwana's educational background includes an Honors BA from the University of Toronto and certificates in Data Analytics and Design Thinking from BrainStation.
