Sheryl Daugherty, RHIT, CTR has over two decades of work experience in the field of cancer registry and program management. Sheryl most recently served as the VP of Client Services and Implementations at Onco Inc., where they were responsible for ensuring client satisfaction and overseeing the implementation process. Prior to this role, Sheryl held the position of VP of Client Services and Manager, Abstracting Services at the same company.
Before joining Onco Inc., Sheryl worked at the Aquilino Cancer Center at Shady Grove Medical as a Program Manager - CTR. In this role, they ensured compliance with ACoS requirements for a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program, organized educational conferences, and compiled statistical data for administrative and physician use.
Earlier in their career, Sheryl worked at Howard County General Hospital as an Oncology Program Coordinator. Sheryl was responsible for coordinating and documenting compliance with national accreditation standards, managing the cancer registry, and coordinating cancer conferences.
Sheryl also gained experience at Holy Cross Hospital as the Cancer Registry & Research Manager. Their responsibilities included managing the operations of the Cancer Registry and ensuring ACoS CoC accreditation.

Sheryl Daugherty's education history includes an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Health Information/Medical Records Technology/Technician from Central Piedmont Community College, which they obtained in 1988. Prior to that, they received a diploma from Fairmont West HS, Kettering, OH in 1977. Additionally, they obtained a diploma in Diversified Health Occupations from Kettering Vocational School in the same year.
